In this study, the central negation strategies of Taimyr Dolgan, a Turkic minority language of Central Northern Siberia are reported. Although the morphological basics of negation have been covered in two major grammaticographic accounts (Ubrjatova 1985; Artem’ev 2001), a reasonably comprehensive survey of negation, which would cover morphology, syntax and semantics, has not been compiled up till now. This study, which follows the questionnaire underlying Miestamo, Tamm and Wagner-Nagy (2015), approaches Dolgan from a functional-typological perspective and does not use (standard) Yakut as tertium comparationis.
